Lisa McVey, ASRT, RDMS, Lead Sonographer

McVey has been a SWCWC Ultrasound Tech since October 2007. She is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer specializing in obstetrical, gynecological, and abdominal ultrasounds. Lisa has performed primarily high- and low-risk obstetrical ultrasounds, as well as gynecologic ultrasounds. She has had the opportunity to train and work with world-renowned maternal-fetal medicine specialists and radiologists. Lisa is the lead sonographer for all three SWCWC offices.

Lisa considers it an honor to work with her current staff of physicians. She considers them highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable. Most of all, they demonstrate kindness and compassion with all of their patients.
Lisa is married and has grown step-children and grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and boating with her husband, movies, and her dog and two cats.

Julie Wollert, RDMS

Julie is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer who joined Southwest Contemporary Women’s Care in November 2014. Born and raised in Upper Michigan, Julie received her education at Marquette General Hospital where she graduated from their radiology and ultrasound programs. She subsequently received her RDMS specialty in OB/GYN in October 1989. She has certifications in both nuchal translucency and nasal bone sonography.

Julie previously lived and worked in Minneapolis (9 years) performing obstetrical and gynecological ultrasounds. She moved to Arizona in 1998 and worked for a perinatologist or high risk maternal-fetal medicine physician (16 years) performing routine and high risk obstetrical ultrasounds.

Julie considers herself very fortunate to work at SWCWC and feels the entire staff, from the physicians to the front office and everyone in between, is extraordinary in providing the highest quality care to their patients.

Julie enjoys traveling, concerts, spending time with friends, and watching her beautiful daughter grow up.

Denise Nunes, RDMS

Denise Nunes is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with a specialty in obstetrics/gynecology. She graduated from the Orange Coast College Diagnostic Medical Sonography program in 2004 in Costa Mesa, California. Denise’s certifications also include nuchal translucency and nasal bone.

During the past 12 years, she has worked extensively in the field of maternal-fetal medicine (high-risk obstetrical ultrasound imaging) with world-renowned maternal-fetal medicine specialists in California and Arizona.

Denise was raised in Orange County, California, and has four daughters. In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, and enjoys outdoor activities with her family and friends.

Joan Glass, RT(R), RDMS

Joan Glass, RT(R), RDMS

Joan Glass is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. She has been specializing in obstetrical, gynecological, and high-risk obstetrical ultrasounds since 1994. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Joan completed her radiology program at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Racine, WI. Her education continued with the completion of a sonography program at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Joan began her career at Banner Health in 1994 starting at Good Samaritan (Phoenix) and then moved to Banner Desert (Mesa). She earned high-risk obstetrical experience and training with both perinatologists and radiologists, experts in their fields, over the years. During her time at Banner Desert, Joan says she had the privilege to work with and along side of SWCWC’s physicians and nurse practitioners. As a result of her experience working with our staff, Joan joined the SWCWC staff in February 2016.

Stefanie Alemazkour, RDMS

(Floats all three offices)

Stefanie Alemazkour originally joined Southwest Contemporary Women’s Care in 2013. Born and raised in Orange County, California, Stefanie pursued her degree from Modern Technology School in April of 2011. She completed her internship at Los Angles County USC Medical Center.

Married with one son, she and her family moved to Arizona in June 2011, to pursue their careers. She received her RDMS, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, with a specialty in OB/GYN in April 2013. Stefanie is also nuchal translucency certified. Stefanie states, “I feel truly blessed to be a part of the amazing team at Southwest Contemporary Women’s Care.”

Stefanie enjoys spending time with family both here and in California.
